Transcript for "Partner Spotlight Series: Reporting & Analytics Integrations for Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT®":
Hello, everybody, and welcome to our second session in the Blackbaud Community's new partner spotlight series. Thanks for waiting for us for a few minutes as we got everything up and going. Today, we're gonna be focusing on reporting and analytics integrations for Blackbaud, Raisers Edge, and XT. Today's webinar will feature four thirteen minute demos of Blackbaud partner solutions, including DataMousse, Aqueduct, Reporting Express, and Giving Insight. That's all gonna do all goes towards helping maximize your time. No commitment necessary today, but if you'd like to learn more after you hear from them, we'll connect you. So hello. My name is Crystal Bruce. I'm your host for today's event. I'm a senior community a customer advocacy program manager here at Blackbaud, but many of me many of you know me just as your Blackbaud community manager. Before we begin, I wanted to go over a couple of housekeeping notes. This webinar will be available for on demand viewing after the event. You will receive an email within twenty four hours with a link to this recording. Audio is broadcast through your computer, so make sure your volume is turned up. And if you experience any issues, just refresh your browser. If you experience any audio or technical issues, a quick browser refresh usually solves the problem. If that doesn't work, try leaving and then rejoining the webinar. If you need captions for today's event, just hover over the stage and click the cc button at the bottom of the screen to turn them on or to turn them off. Feel free to use the chat feature during today's presentation. We've invited members of the partners team to the webinar and should answer your questions in real time. If you have a specific question, you can also submit it as a q and a so it doesn't get lost in the chat, and that will be shared with the partner teams for follow-up. Now in the docs tab, you'll find an interest form that will allow you to choose which partner or partners you'd like more information on. And if you're interested in learning more, we'll connect you with their team. You'll also receive this interest form and a follow-up email after this webinar. So, again, thirteen minutes on the clock. And with that, let's get started. I'd like to introduce our first presenter to the stage, Nancy Rogers. She's a solutions manager with Datamuse. Hey. Welcome, Nancy, and, let's get started. And if you come on stage. I don't oh, so she cannot hear us. I'm so sorry. Not sure what's going on. So let's move to the next one. Ken and Andrew, if you guys are ready, this is Ken and Andrew with Aqueduct, and we'll start with them. They'll come up on stage, and we'll figure out what's going on with Nancy's audio issues. You guys are live. Okay. Great. I'll stop I'll stop sharing. Thank you. Thank you. Right. Ken, or yeah. There you go. Wonderful. Alright. I'm Andrew Urban with Zuri Group, and I'm proud to to be here today and say that after ten years as Ken Swift is here as well, and after ten years of being Zurich Group's chief technology officer, Ken is continuing the evolution of Aqueduct Analytics through his new venture Net Outlook. What began as his vision five plus years ago for truly amazing analytics for razors at Gen XT has developed into an incredible product and solution for our clients. Zuri Group is excited to be partners with Ken and Net Outlook in all of the amazing new Aqueduct analytics developments that you'll hear about today. So without further ado, Ken Swift. Wonderful. Well, I certainly appreciate everybody's time today. First and foremost, my name is Ken Swift. I am the chief technology officer as well as, cofounder of Net Outlook. I envisioned, creating Aqueduct, about six years ago as I was partnering with a Razor's Edge customer that was on Razor's Edge that was on Razor's Edge seven that was hosted on premise, and they were planning to move to RE, NXT. And they realized that their reports were no longer going to operate when they moved, from RE seven to RE NXT. They were all written in Microsoft reporting services. And as part of that transition, I envision creating a a function a fundraising dimensional data warehouse for them. Little did did I know that, five or six years later, this would be a solution, that our concept then became a product and is now being used by many different organizations and driving thousands of reports across the Aquatic analytics community each and every day. So core to our, foundation is security. So we we fundamentally believe, there's nothing more important than the security of your data. And we do this in a in a number of ways. Most importantly is we do not touch any of your data. Your data, goes directly from, our e n x t or raises Edge n x t directly into the data warehouse. It never touches our servers or any other servers. What this actually means is your data is can actually be hosted wherever you choose to host your data. So you can choose to host your data on premise, on a server within your your organization's data center. You can also choose to deploy Aqueduct into a cloud based service such as Microsoft Azure, or AWS or other cloud based providers. Next, your data your way. As I said, you can host, Aqueduct wherever you choose to host it. Additionally, you can choose to use any analytical tools that work for your organization. So if you are a Power BI shop, you can use Power BI. If your organization has licenses for Tableau, you can certainly use, Tableau as your solution. I'm building a complete picture. In order to to achieve that kind of quintessential 360 degree view of your data, you need to have all your data. The Sky APIs are great, but they do not provide a complete picture for all the reporting, data elements and data points that organizations need to drive the reporting strategy. And so over time, Aqueduct, from our very inception, have come up with some very creative ways in order to, augment the data that is available through the Sky APIs in order to achieve that, comprehensive, view of your data. We also didn't under fully understand how organizations were going to use the data warehouse that we are delivering to them. So we built extensibility into it as a core offering. So extensibility both in the data model, but as well as, the extensibility of how you get data in. So, for example, you can, create custom facts and custom dimension tables within your data warehouse. You can also create custom calculated fields or measures. You can create custom slowly changing dimensions within the data warehouse. Additionally, you can, build third party adapters. So we've included an adapter to pull in CSV data from third party sources, but we also allow you to export data out. And so, as at its core, extensibility is built in. And then I I will readily admit AI readiness was not on the slide if I had written it five or six years ago, but, I mean, mean, it is part and parcel of everything we do, now. And we'll talk more about that in a little bit. So how does Aqueduct work? So I'm gonna, go through the slide kind of bottom up and left to right. So at its core, Aqueduct, provides a fundraising dimensional data warehouse. The fundraising data warehouse, can then be consumed by your analytical tools of choice. And so you can use, custom AI modeling. You can use Power BI. You can use Tableau. You can use other analytical services, you see fit. The workhorse of this process is that Aqueduct agent right there in the middle. So the Aqueduct agent is a is a utility that is installed on one of your servers. Again, this could be in the cloud or it could be on premise. And the Aqueduct agent will assemble, both the data warehouse as well as the data. And so when the Aqueduct agent runs, the first thing it does is connects into the Aqueduct Cloud to make sure that every organization is running the latest and greatest version of the Aqueduct data warehouse each and every time that they run the process. So if we add a new table or we add a new column, the next time the Aqueduct agent runs, it will automatically add that new table or column to your data warehouse. The next thing that Aqueduct Cloud provides is the actual layering or mapping, instructions between the Sky APIs and the dimensional data warehouse. So for example, when we call it get constituent list API, we are given a list of constituents with first name, last name, and other fields that is overlaid with the mapping instructions from the Aquila Cloud that say that the first name and last name go into the DIMM constituent, table, into their respective columns. And then I'll I'll end on this graphic in the upper right hand corner of the extensibility. So this is what I was speaking of a few moments ago, where if you have data that lives outside of RE NXT or FE NXT that you would like to pull into the dimensional data warehouse, for example, if you use a third party financial package like PeopleSoft or Workday, and you wanna do endowment and scholarship reporting out of your, system, you can actually pull in the financial data for those scholarships and those funds out of those third party systems and ingest that data directly into your custom into custom tables within the data warehouse in order to provide a single source of reporting, to drive your reporting strategy. It's not limited to just those, financial systems. We have organizations that, might be doing grateful patient fundraising, and they might want to include Epic or Cerner as a, a patient system in order to pull information in. So just a different way to, make your Aqueduct data warehouse be not just a fundraising data warehouse, but maybe an enterprise data warehouse for your organization. Now let's talk a little bit about data completeness. So Aqueduct, gets data from 28 different Sky APIs today. We also get data through 59 other, ad hoc queries, that are executed each and every night, for every organization. And finally, we have some other proprietary ways that we assemble the data, out of our e n x t so that our our our partner organizations have a complete picture of their data, to the point that they can actually, not use nightly backups, from from Blackbaud, but can actually use, a dimensional data warehouse that is, fast and readily available for analytical purposes, which is a good transition into, artificial intelligence and AI readiness. So I'm really excited about what Microsoft is doing in Microsoft Azure. So some of this is, make made a little bit easier if you deploy Aqueduct into an Azure environment, but it's not limited to that. So what you can actually do, if you're, for many of our organizations that are currently deployed to Microsoft Azure is they can replicate their Aqueduct analytic database directly into a Microsoft Fabric tenant. In the not too distant future, Microsoft has announced that they are actually going to allow, Aqueduct Analytics as well as, third party data warehouses to be deployed directly into a Microsoft Fabric tenant. And why that is exciting when these two, two rectangles kind of pull us together is there's those moving parts. As soon as Aquadec refreshes, all the data will be at a data lake in, Microsoft One Lake. You'll have a parquet data model, which is the language that data scientists use to create, a complex data models for, different, AIs. They you will also have a SQL analytical end endpoint, which is just a fancy way of saying you'll be able to query your data using SQL Management Studio or other analytical tools. But, you'll also, and most excitingly, be able to, you will automatically generate a semantic model for you. And a semantic model is what Power BI uses in order to, accelerate. It's kind of a, you can think of it as kind of read only access to your data and make it very quick and easy to access that data within Power BI. It'll automatically draw those connections directly within the user interface of, Power BI Desktop. And then the last thing, once the all that data is in Fabric, you can then use things such as Copilot in Fabric, which is Microsoft's new, new term for natural language queries directly against data that lives within a Microsoft Fabric environment. So I'm really, really excited about, what Microsoft is doing. Let's talk a little bit about some of the new features that we're gonna be rolling out here in the course. So we've always had an Aqueduct portal. The Aqueduct portal, is great. However, I always had an ambition of building the Aqueduct portal directly as Sky UX and so that it lives within the Sky UX experience of of our NXT. And so, in the next release of Aqueduct that I'm coming out next month, we will have a new tile on the homepage of our NXT for those users that are user of, Aqueduct Analytics. They will be able to view the logs, see, recent release notes. They will also then be, if you're an administrator of Aqueduct Analytics for your organization, you'll be able to go into the administration area. And this is where you can actually, request a start. So normally, Aquadec Analytics refreshes every night, but if you want to do a a manual restart of of any part of the process, you can do the entire, solution, or you can run each individual part of it. So an individual API or an individual query, you will actually be able to just, start that process for within a year as well as manage your tokens for our NXT and Sky APIs, and finally, administer the user accounts, for the system. Just, some kinda key benefits. Aqueduct delivers on the promise of, providing a comprehensive one stop shop for all your data. No longer do you need to do manual exports. No longer will you need to, use the Power BI connector, no longer will you need to, have nightly backups. We have flexibility at its core, so you can really make, Aquadec Analytics be more than just a fundraising database, or data warehouse, but rather an end to end solution. And then, we strongly believe that, being AI ready is where every organization needs to be moving. And so having all your data available in AI solution, whether that's in Microsoft Fabric or another AI platform, we believe that Aquadec Analytics gets you there. And so with no further ado, I would love to, share a video, a testimonial from, one of my, good friends over at Willamette University, BJ McHugh. I'm the executive director of advancement strategies and operations, and I work heavily with Lambda's data and reporting. You know, we have been a Razor's Edge client for over fifteen years. We use the crystal crystal reports functionality in Razor's Edge to do our reporting in the beginning. And then when it was removed from Razor's Edge, we were searching for an alternative, that would give us the greater insight to our data, and better efficiency in our processes. And so we landed on Power BI as a reporting tool, but we struggled with a way to get our razor's edge data efficiently to a place where we could use it, and have it updated consistently. And that's where Aqueduct came along. It reliably updates our data every night into a data warehouse in the cloud, and our Power BI reports pull every morning. It used to take us eight hours to do an export of our data for our campaign fundraising number, and we were only able to pull that number weekly. And issues would occur where we had trustees on campus, and our vice president was trying to give them the latest fundraising goals and campaign numbers. And when she would ask for an updated number, I would have to tell her it's impossible. It was eight to ten hours away. But now she can actually just pull up the Power BI app on her phone. She gives a recent number as of the morning, and it it allows us greater insight and access to our data. You know, we have we have been able to build tools using this, like, Aqueduct data that allow our major gifts team to better track their progress to their goals. Again, looking down even to the gifts as they come in, from the people on their portfolio. It has given the managers greater insight into their team's productivity. Overall, it has allowed us both, again, efficiencies, but also a, holistic and granular insight into the data. One of the things we're really excited about is we recently attended an artificial intelligence symposium, and there was a lot of, talk about data lakes and basically the data warehouses and the way they're structured in Azure. And AquaDuct allows us to do that. We are hosted in Azure, and our razor's edge data is something now that we're looking to attach some of the Microsoft fabric artificial intelligence tools to. So we can, you know, ask questions of our data and get, answers immediately without spending all the time building reports, and really leveraging the new AI models that are coming out. Alright. We I get oh, there we are. We're back live. I don't know why it's a delay there. But thank you, to the Aqueduct team. We've got Joel from Reporting Express on, ready to talk about his solution. Alright. Thank you. Let me share my screen here. Or not. Let's start with the deck then. It's saved. Alright. Joel Weinbach with Reporting Express. We've processed over a 100,000,000 automated reports through, Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge since 2018, and I'm gonna talk today about how to maximize Raiser's Edge and x t's impact with reporting express. Alright. So the challenge for anybody who uses a large, system of record like like Razer's Edge is that there are 800 plus standard fields plus all the custom fields you wanna create, and that leaves you with, a very complex data structure and built in reporting tools that cover most of the common requirements, but don't always give you everything you could possibly want. And while Razer's Edge NXT supports raw exports, report exports, bulk queries, etcetera, those aren't finished reports. And where we fill the gap is, providing an automated reporting tool that can take data from those systems and from platforms, like data warehouse platforms. The Data Moose platform is one we integrate with, but other platforms as well. And, turn that in turn that data into finished automated reports. In thirteen minutes, I can't really walk you through the architecture of our system, but, this is kinda what it looks like. You can come back and look at this slide and study it. We use a concept of temporary one time use cloud based data warehouses. The Department of Defense calls those calls that a fleeting data strategy so your data doesn't exist in one place long enough to be an attack surface, but that gives us lots of comfort on the security side. And with that architecture, we've got two solutions, or two sides of our solution. The first is, Athens. That's what we call our done for you automation. We deliver custom bespoke reports designed for you implemented by our team. They can include things like merging in external data, new calculated data points, restructured data, custom logic, all kinds of things like that. We like to say, if you can draw it on a piece of paper, then we can probably give it to you. So that's our approach with Athens. The kind of things that we typically do there, high volume reports. So same reports gotta go to 20 or 200 or thousand people, but segmented by their individual view of the data. We do lots of those kind of things. And I'm gonna show you examples of these in a demo, assuming I can get the share to work. Development officer performance reports are common for us. Campaign reporting, every every time someone runs a major campaign, their board comes up with some new way they wanna look at the data, and we can produce those for them. We can produce reports where you have precise control over the output, and by that, I mean really nice looking letters and booklets and things like that that are used for donor donor facing requirements. In addition to automating reporting through Athens, we automate distribution. So we've got a secure online portal that integrates with your network directory for ease of use for users. Single sign on is another way of saying that. We can deliver reports via email. We can push reports into things like Teams channels. We can display reports in software applications, Google team sites, your board portal software. Anywhere you can display a URL or a QR code, a report from our system can live there and live their lives. So if that report is updated, the data changes in that website or wherever else it is. External users like board members or auditors or consultants can be subscribed to receive reports via email as well. So we just take all the work of that off of your team's hands and, move it, into our platform. Express Analytics is our, AI based analytics tool to allow deep dive into fundraising. We give you the power and flexibility of SQL without the need for expertise or infrastructure. We manage all of that and and in a really unique way so that it's, secure and simple and cost effective for you. Express analytics has a quick start, component to it. That's approximately 60 prebuilt predominantly RFM, recency frequency, monetary value based analytics reports that offer all kinds of donor insights. Hopefully, I'll be able to show you a couple of those. And a lot of that is meant to be just out of the box, ready to go, actionable, data driven information for fundraisers. We're also developing playbooks that will help fundraisers take that data and know what to do with it. In addition, express analytics gives you the ability to interact with your data via natural language. Your fundraisers good fundraisers are curious and have a lot of intuition about their data, we let them explore that intuition and and kinda test it out. We do this in a very safe way. We do not expose any of your data to any AI company. I don't believe any of them can be trusted. So we spent two years developing proprietary processes to optimize data structure for AI and natural language and then share a description of the structure with some other metadata in such a way that we can leverage the best AI models, to write queries for us based on your natural language input without exposing any of your data, and then we execute those queries in a private environment for you and give you the results. All nice and safe and fast, and it just takes you out of the complexity. So Athens is those automated custom bespoke reports, with the distribution built on top. Express analytics lets you really dig deeper into your razor's edge data. I know the video will probably work. I'm Deborah Edwards, and I work at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. My role is the director of operations for the advancement division. I'm also the razor's edge database administrator. How have you used ReportingXpress to benefit your organization? In the area of reports, namely our annual endowment reports and some of our monthly data center reports for our president, our chief financial officer, and all our development staff. Reporting Express has transformed our annual endowment reporting process. We report out on nearly 300 endowed funds each year. And with reporting express, we provide them our, annual endowment template and a spreadsheet with all the contacts who are receiving the reports. Reporting Express, creates the reports and saves them to a folder in the cloud. And when I'm ready, I just go into the folder. I download the report. To some, I add some individualization, and I send them out to our donors. The process has become so much more streamlined and efficient for us. For the customized reports, we we have, pretty lengthy lengthy monthly data center report where some of the data points aren't readily available in razor's edge, in their dashboards or their cam reports. So in the past, I set up individual gift queries, and I would go in and run them monthly and then manually update the report. When I was, doing the endowment reports in house, I would spend four to six months every year to send out the endowment reports. This year, in eight weeks, I sent out 302 endowment reports to all of our donors, while still completing all of my other tasks and attending meetings. With reporting express, we work together to identify the data points needed. I provide them three data points every month, and they run the report and save it to my folder. I go into the folder, I download the report, and I send it out to all parties, and the process takes me less than five minutes a month. For the other customizable reports that reporting express helps with, it's saving me, I estimate, about five hours a month, which is significant because we're all going more with less. Great. Thank you so much, Joel. We really, appreciate that presentation. If you would like to learn more about reporting express, again, that docs tab in the top right hand corner is gonna be your friend. Fill out that interest form, and we will get that information over to you. Thanks, Joel. And without further ado, we're going to, get Nancy up here. Hey, Nancy. Nancy's with Data Moose. So we tried to get her up earlier, but we had a little bit of audio issues. So hopefully, Nancy is able to hear us and is able to present. So take it away, Nancy. Thank you, Crystal. Hi. I'm Nancy with Data Moose, and I wanna thank you for joining us today. And I also wanna take a moment to, recognize that this event is part of Blackbaud's ongoing commitment to, helping nonprofits fully activate their data through its trusted partner ecosystem. K. We're proud to be part of that ecosystem, working closely with Blackbaud to help many of our customers get more out of their tools, like Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge. Blackbaud provides the foundation, and partners like DataMoose extend that value by preparing data to work seamlessly across any system, tool, or use case. One moment while I share my screen. There you go. Thanks, Nancy. Joel's got his out, down. So you're you should be able to put yours up now. Okay. Great. Thank you. Alright. So I'm Nancy Rogers. I worked at Blackbaud for five years, and some of you may remember me as Nancy Franklin from customer support or from professional services or from just helping out with the Sky API question. We all know that, Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge are, these powerful systems, but accessing, cleaning, and preparing your data for analysis is a major challenge. So if you're frustrated with things like siloed systems across your CRMs, your finance tools, your email platforms, and spreadsheets that each store a piece of the truth, but not not none of them provide the full picture that your nonprofit needs to operate effectively, we can help with that. If you have dirty data filled with inconsistencies, duplicates, missing fields, outdated information, and that clogs your ability to to process and prevent reliable analysis, we can help with that. And if you don't have a single source of truth, that means teams can't access constantly or trust their data, that limits their ability to make informed, timely, data driven decisions. We can help with that. Reporting, AI, segmentation, and forecasting tools all depend on having one thing, clean, connected data that's ready for action. So how do we fix this? We provide, how do we go from disconnected, messy, hard to access data to something that nonprofits can actually use to make decisions? That's where our partnership between Blackbaud and Data Moose comes in. We can seamlessly integrate with systems like Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge, and any other mission critical data source you have. We pull data securely without disrupting your existing workflows. Our SQL based centralized data platform consolidates fragmented data from across your organization into a single trusted environment that becomes your foundation for insight. We don't replace your existing reporting or analytics stack. We power it. We provide the clean, harmonized data that flows into your tools, like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and our strategic partner, Reporting Express through native integrations. We deliver a secure and scalable environment that's protected by our guard dog cybersecurity with enterprise grade monitoring and automated patching and infrastructure designed to grow with your reporting and AI needs. It also serves as a backup so you always have a copy of your data separate from Blackbaud in your own data warehouse that's separate from Blackbaud. We can update it as often as you need it. So how does it work? What do we do? We automatically make a copy of your data in a SQL data warehouse that's fully under your control. You could host it on your own server in your own building, or you can host it host it on ours. Once we create that mirrored copy of your data, we can keep it refreshed and as often as you need it. And as changes are made in the source, like in Raiser's Edge, that refresh can be daily, hourly, or every twenty minutes. You don't have to do anything to protect it. We handle security for you, and it's always ready to serve as a backup or run SQL scripts or connect to your tools. These are the kinds of outcomes that we're seeing across many Blackbaud customers. Real measurable improvements in how nonprofits operate, how they raise money, and how they make decisions. Blackbaud customers save time and money by eliminating manual reporting, data wrangling, and guesswork, freeing the staff to focus on strategic initiatives, not spreadsheets. Leadership gets faster, more confident decision making with real time trusted insights pulled directly from the systems that they already use. And fundraisers get become more effective because they finally have the data they need at their fingertips, accurate portfolios, clean records, and consistent metrics. Your data becomes a high value asset, not a liability that takes time, and it's ready to support AI, forecasting, automation, and strategic planning across departments. Let me show you what that looks like in the real world. Here's one of our peers at McCallum Theater sharing the impact that DataMoos has had on their team. And after we hear from Robert, I'll show you how you don't have to run a open a report or run a dashboard every time you need an answer. You can just ask Moose. That's our AI powered agent that lets you have a conversation with your data just like you would with a colleague. No code, no waiting, just real answers in real time. So I was you know, for the last two years, it's been kinda muddling along trying to, you know, make the the Or, you know, what led you to to go into an outsource solution? Well, you know, kinda going back to that, you know, changing the county systems. Right? Just the the time, resources, and infrastructure, you know, needed to be able to do your own debt data warehousing is, you know, a tremendous undertaking. And knowing, you know, like you were mentioning about, you know, pulling the data from Blackbaud, You have to know all the data points to pull and, you know, and so to hire someone and to to do that, you know, for a one off type thing I mean, one, it isn't cost effective and efficient. And, you know, so it was either that trying to find another completely another, you know, solution, to be able to produce my financial statements, and that's why, you know, Fortunately, you guys teamed up with, Infort to, you know, to do that. You have the infrastructure to do that. It was, you know, when it's presented with, you know, that she was, my contactor was working with with Databridge with you guys on, you know, having a real solution to keep f nine working, you know, although I had some hesitations because, you know, from my, you know, previous experience. But but kept being reassured that, you know, it was gonna you know, things were progressing. And I think it was maybe earlier this year that we've that with you and with your your team, you know, working with In for to get making sure the data is coming into, Datamuz from Blackbaud has all the right information working with In for and on their client product to make sure that it's reporting correctly. So you say earlier this year, testing those reports and realizing that I can have I can make changes in my data, like, you know, now I can refresh my f nine reports. You know? I think we're on a a two hour update on our, data. And knowing that I can make those changes and essentially have up to date real time financial statements within a couple hours instead of waiting a couple days, you know, for the the backups from Blackbaud. So, you know, once we get everything working, knowing that the comparing the data from the backups from Blackbaud, comparing it to what Datamoose and and and f nine and everything reconciled and everything's working. So, I mean, it's been a game changer for me and my ability to, you know, produce financial statements. I don't have to plan my my week around knowing that, I gotta start financials on Monday because I have to wait for that backup to come by by Wednesday as I can work on financials when I on my schedule, not on Blackbaud. Okay. So that was our, client McCallum Theater. They are very happy with our with our, with our solution. And now here is a demo of Ask Moose, which is our AI solution that connects to your Data Moose data warehouse. It lets you ask questions in plain English and get answers straight from your data. It works a lot like chat GBT, except it's not connected to the Internet. It's only connected to your data, so it's safe and secure. We won't share your data with anything else, just you. When you ask it a question, it will figure out which SQL tail tables and columns you're asking about and generate the SQL behind the scenes, gather the data, and show it to you as text, graph graphs, or charts. So you can get real answers as soon as you need it without having to generate new reports or spreadsheets or SQL queries. So this would be AskMoos connected to your Raiser's Edge environment. You can also combine it with things like spreadsheets like I've done here. I've got a a variety of spreadsheets here. You can combine all this data together and ask your questions and know that it'll be pulling the answers from all of your data. So here, I've asked it a question. Well, here's a summary of it, providing information on what's in the data. How many donors, who who's attended events, things like that. There are also suggested questions and reports that you can generate automatically from your data. And you can ask it questions just like in chat GPT. You can ask a question or give it a task, like identify donors with a high net worth and likelihood scores that are not yet major or mega giving. And it will do that. It'll go through the data. It'll identify which columns, which donors, which capacity to give are relevant to your question, and here's the answer. It's identified 22 donors that meet the criteria of your net worth and your likelihood to give above the seventy fifth percentile. And here's information, actual data from your database about the name, the capacity to give, net worth, education, everything you need. And you can copy this and use it in your reports or whatever else you need. Simple data, no spreadsheets, no dashboards, no delays. There's even a recommended action that you can take after you get this in this answer. So you can ask it more questions, analyze restricted funds, which ones are overdrawn, and assess risk factors. It'll do that. It'll go through. It'll even tell you what it's doing. It's gone through all these restricted funds, and it'll generate the sequel and give you the answer. Here's the answer. Here's the overdrawn funds and their current balance and risk highlights, everything you need to know to answer your question. And so here's another question I've asked. I've modeled and I want to model and visualize the impact of event attendance. So it's done that. It's gone through. Here's the relevant data. You can see it. You can scroll through the relevant data, and then it'll answer the question. It'll tell you what it's doing, visualizing the donation frequency by recent event attendance, and here's the chart. Here's exactly what you've asked for, donation amount along with event information. And so you can do this with anything you want. You can combine any spreadsheets, any other, sources of data, and you can ask questions. So here's a question I've got. Which donors have a giving level of major that haven't made a donation in the last twelve months? I can ask it, enter, just like ChatGPT. It's you end you enter in your question, and it's thinking about it. It's pulling the relevant data right here. It's showing you its work, and here's the answer. You know, there are 40 people in that group who recently attended an event but have not given donations. They're prime targets for personalized reengagement campaigns. So it's not only provided the data and shown its work, it's given you answers that make sense. And, Nancy, we are at time. So I want to thank you for joining us today. If you guys have, want to know more about Data Moose, again, that docs tab in the top right hand corner, you can fill out that interest form, and we'll get you over to Data Moose. So now I wanna, say goodbye to Nancy and welcome our last presenter to the stage, David. David is with Nurse NFP, and he's here to show off his solution. So, David, I will hand over the floor to you. Thank you. And, hello, everybody. My name is David. Hopefully, you can see my presentation now, on the screen. I'm from an organization called Giving Insight. Who are we? Well, myself and my colleague, Ewan, we've got about fifty years plus of experience in fundraising. So we are fundraisers backed up with some software developers, and we've got a tool called Giving Insight. We exist fundamentally to help you understand your donors, keep more of them, raise more money from your fundraising program. And what we are really interested in, our what our software is most interested in is around sustainer stroke regular giving programs. So if your organization has got a sustainer program, you understand that it can be pretty hard to see and manage a fairly complex program like sustainer's regular giving. And so what we've built is a cloud based analytics and reporting platform, that helps you see and understand your data a lot better. It's also got a forecasting and budget module within it, and it really works to transform data into actionable insights. And that's really, big a big part of the the the the process and the the solution itself. And, ultimately, what we are trying to do is help you turn your razor edge and exceed data into clear visual insights. And then we, as fundraisers, help you apply them to real fundraising situations to help you maximize your ROI and your lifetime value. And, you know, we all know that data driven fundraising is incredibly important. How do we help? We're helping you make smarter decisions, understanding what's working in your sustainer program, what's not perhaps, and where to invest, and where to get the best future ROI, getting much deeper insights into donor behaviors, preferences, and lifetime value, getting better results in terms of ROI. We know that with our program, we can increase, return on investment. We work with our clients to, to, to do exactly that, building those stronger relationships. So we talk about the art and science of fundraising. What we are really talking about is, data and relationship fundraising and combining them to to to together for the best possible impact, and also, of course, accountability. And how do we work with RE NXT? Well, we have a seamless connection from RE NXT, and we use an AWS secure storage in the cloud. It's a one time setup. We ask you to sit with us. We we help you map your data, and we feed that straight into our solution. It's a read only connection. We don't send anything back to your CRM. So in terms of data security, the only piece of information we pull in is a donor identification number, which, of course, you'll appreciate. That means you cannot in any way, identify somebody when we look at them, but the client, of course, absolutely can. So I'm just gonna give you a demonstration now of the solution. I'm just gonna stop sharing this one for a second, and then I'm going to go into giving insight. Hang on. Give me a second while I try and share this. So, hopefully, you'll be able to see the giving insight solution. Are you able to see that? Hopefully, yes. So what we have here is the, the dashboard of giving insight. And you'll see that what we can look at is from a sustainer program perspective. Very quickly across the top, regular giving KPIs, which are critical information about the program, things like active number of donors, lifetime revenue, average gift per donor, and so on. Very importantly, we can actually look at attrition, data. This is showing us, attrition data by installment and accumulated attrition. So we can see important, metrics like twelve month attrition rates by just doing a little hover over. We can look at the program over time. So for example, you can see that, over time, you can look at revenue by month, active donors at any given period, how many people you're signing up at any given time, and who's canceling or how many are canceling at every any given time. But we also are able to filter this data very importantly, and we have a whole list of filters. And this, of course, is really the drivers of of how regular giving and sustainer programs perform and how you can make the big changes and differences in there. So we know, for example, from a fundraising perspective, age is a major indicator of future performance in terms of attrition rates and ROI and so on. So we can actually look at that data within giving insight and and it'll tell us, here attrition by installment. But really importantly, we can start to see the differentials in age by looking at, you know, our, say, twelve month attrition rate, which is a key metric. We can look at that information. We can, of course, filter down to, say, a fiscal year If we wanted to, very simply simply to do that. But, of course, the only thing we can do is we can down download this information direct from the, the the dashboard into an Excel file so you can do a little bit more reporting. You might wanna prepare a board report and so on. The other piece that we have in here is what we call hall of fame. This is showing you your most valuable donors in your sustainer program. You can go and look at that a little bit more detail in in in in this in the dashboard, but it really is helpful to start to identify view value in terms of mid value donors or major donors as well. And we can see lifetime value in in in the program too by looking at dashboards like this. We don't have a lot of time to talk about, our dashboard, but it's got huge amounts of filter opportunities and ways to really work to to pull in better, and improve, return on investment. Now the other thing that we do within, giving insight is that we have a forecasting tool. That forecasting tool will allow us to choose a, both a channel and a supplier. So I've just gone face to face fundraising and then an average gift to say, $10 a month, pre debit fail rate, which is somebody who doesn't get as far as your initial transaction run, a cost per acquisition, we can put that in there too. We can add in transactional decline rates. We can choose a starting forecast month, so you can choose any month you want, give it a name. And then we can just put in the number of donors we'd want to acquire each month. And you can do multiple years if you wanted to. You can do a straight annual budget or you can do multiple years. You can do lots of different, permutations in in here. You can add in at the bottom there your attrition rates. So once you've got that information quickly, you submit your forecast and it will start to show up, exactly what the results are. And so I have a little technical hitch there. And there we go. And so what you can now see is how much revenue, how much expense, when you're gonna break even, and you can look at accumulated or month to month profit. And the other thing you can do with this is you can download this to a CSV file, and then you can drop that information straight into your budget. So that is in, in a nutshell, that is the the demo of the product or the dashboard itself. We've now got a nice little, video from one of our clients. They they're called the Humor Foundation. They have the clown doctors down in Australia, and Rachel Bryan, their fundraising manager, has has generously done a lot of Hi. I'm Rachel Bryan, and I'm head of fundraising and marketing over here at the Humor Foundation. Regular giving is a core part of our fundraising program. And like many organizations, we need access to clear, accurate data in order to manage it effectively. Our CRM system is great for storing donor information. But when it comes to analyzing campaign performance, tracking declines, or, say, measuring return on investment, It just simply doesn't have the depth or the flexibility that we need. That's why we've integrated Giving Insight into our workflow. We've been using Giving Insight now for over five years, and, honestly, it's been a game changer. It's an analytics platform that's built specifically for managing regular giving programs, and it gives us exactly what we need in order to make confident data driven decisions. Whether we're looking at acquisition performance, decline trends, forecasting, budgeting, or running a snapshot report for the board, it's all right there. It helps us not only track results but really understand them. It gives us a clear view of ROI on campaigns, and that insight has helped us to make better decisions about where to invest and certainly when to pivot. It's also saved us so much time. What used to take many hours of manual reporting across myself, our regular giving manager, and the finance team now just takes minutes. It's intuitive. It's reliable, and it's become a central part of how we run our program. If you're running a regular giving program and want more clarity, better reporting, and the ability to measure what matters, giving insights is an incredible tool. I honestly don't know how we would manage without it. You're on mute, David. So just to wrap up, just a couple of more things. So Giving Insight is very much a dashboard built for fundraisers by fundraisers. You and I provide a lot of background support to to to fundraisers to help them use the tool so that we're not just about having a dashboard. We're about using that to make better fundraising decisions and get better fundraising outcomes. So if you'd like to know more information, I'm sure Crystal's gonna tell you how to to do that. But thank you very much indeed for your time today. It's very much appreciated. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, David. And thank you to all of our presenters. That wraps up today's partner spotlight series session. Huge thank you to everyone who joined us today. We hope you found these demos informative and useful. If you're interested in connecting with any of today's presenting partners, don't forget to fill out that interest form in the docs tab, again, at that top right hand corner.
