Transcript for "Unlock the Power of Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT® to Simplify Compliance": Hi, everyone, and welcome to today's webinar. My name is Marybeth Robards, and I'm gonna be your host. I see folks are starting to log in, so we'll give that just a minute. And while people are logging in, I'd love to just set the stage for what you're gonna see and learn today. We're gonna be taking a look at Blackbaud's fund accounting solution, Financial Edge NXT, and talk about how it helps address some common challenges we hear from organizations that manage restricted funds like grants, government grants, contract, and program revenue. So think about things like difficulty tracking and monitoring budget to actuals for each grant, contract, or program, cumbersome reporting, lack of real time visibility into those grant or contract balances, and painful audits. These are some of the things that we hear a lot, but I'm curious to know as we kind of get started, has your organization experienced any of those challenges? And I am going to open a poll, which you should see in your polls tab. If any of these sound familiar, let us know. We'll have a couple of poll questions throughout our time together today. These help us get a feel for what's top of mind for everyone listening in and move around the software accordingly. So while everyone's putting in those responses, a couple reminders for our time together today. You can ask us questions throughout the presentation using the q and a function. We'll try to get to those either in chat or live during the session. But if there are any we don't have time for, we'll make sure to follow-up with you and get you a response. Also, make sure to check out the docs section. We've got some guides, customer stories in there for you to check out. And then we're recording the session today, and we'll send out a link to view it on demand to the email that you use to register. So, again, welcome. I'm Marybeth, part of the financial solutions marketing team here at Blackbaud. I'm joined today by our presenter, Heather LeVan. Hey, Heather. Thanks for being here. Heather is very familiar with some of those challenges I mentioned earlier. Prior to joining Blackbaud, Heather had an accomplished career in the nonprofit world and has actually used Financial Edge NXT as a client. So she's been in your shoes and has a lot of insights to share. I'll go ahead and hand it over to her to walk us through the demonstrations. Heather. Alright. Thank you, Marybeth. So my Internet is a little laggy today, so I'm gonna turn my video off. I am still here. You'll hear my voice. But just a couple of thoughts, as we think about the solution of Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT. This is going to be the solution to manage your financial reporting, monitor and track program success, and ensure overall financial integrity for your organization. There's a lot on this slide because there's a lot within the product of Financial Edge NXT, but just know that it contains everything from native project grant and endowment accounting to built in tools for expense management and automated vendor payments. And this was built for you first and foremost. It's not an afterthought from commercial accounting. It was very much purpose built from the very beginning and built by Blackbaud. As we move through the product, keep these three pillars in mind as you see functionality that will directly have an impact on increased efficiency, enhanced accountability, and then being able to make better data driven decisions. And before I really get going, I just wanna say that we really appreciate your time today. We recognize that you are all working very hard in the organizations that you serve, and your missions and the community work that you do are incredibly important. So we appreciate you taking the time to join us today. No matter what brought you here today, you're all going to leave having seen an overview of what's possible with a pure fund accounting solution. We're gonna cover a lot of ground. We won't hit everything within the solution, but there will be an opportunity, if you'd like to schedule a demo, and we can always dig deeper, and really just really dig into your questions more one on one. But as we move around in the solution, please keep an important concept in mind. This solution has exclusively been built to help you manage restricted funds, whether they be endowments, grants, or any other funds that are designated for a specific purpose. And that matters, especially when you may currently be using a system that was first built for commercial accounting, and you've been trying to make it work. So if you are feeling that, hopefully, you will very quickly see functionality that will help your organization. And as I mentioned, those pillars earlier be more efficient and accountable and being able to make better decisions. So on the screen at the moment, you are seeing the Blackbaud website, and I do start here for a mo for just a for a reason and just for a moment, just to to recognize that this is a solution that is available wherever you have the Internet, and it is completely mobile responsive. So you have access to it wherever you are and on any device. Also, as we come into the solution, I do, a brief orientation in case this is the first time, you are seeing the solution. So a couple of things to note here on the home page. Right alongside being able to access the solution wherever you are, you can also have as much of the solution open at the same time. So I did just open up this side panel so you can see all of the different areas of financial edge NXT. But I am a little bit of a tabber, especially for, product webinars like this. So I have opened up many areas of the solution just by right clicking. So if you look to the very top of my screen, the majority of those tabs up at the top are all financial edge and XT. So I can have both general ledger, accounts payable, reporting, etcetera, all open at the same time depending on what your work style is and and what you're working on. I am gonna collapse that side panel just to give us a little bit more real estate as well. This is also a very dynamic platform, so we're constantly, adding new enhancements and brand new functionality. And so here on the home page under this updates area, we're gonna post about it and give you additional resources. So, lots to always check out here as far as what's going on in the product, what's coming next, that sort of thing. Also, here on the home page, there's a little question mark in the upper right hand corner. That's gonna follow us around the product today, and it is where all of the help resources are embedded. So you have the ability to chat live with customer support right from within the product. You can ask specific questions depending on what you might be working on. You also have the ability to connect with Blackbaud Community. These are where your peers are hanging out. You can ask questions, there as well, get best practices, even interact with our developers and and give them product suggestions, which we encourage. And then one last item is training. So we have what is called Blackbaud University. I highly recommend this, resource just because you can really dial into as many classes as you would like. We do have instructor led classes or on demand depending on your timing and your learning style as well, But each of the users within your organization could really dig in and, learn as much as they'd like so that they at the end of the day, they're using the product most effectively and getting the most out of it. So that is what's available, through Blackbaud University. And then one last item, and it applies, as we move around today, and it applies to everything across the board, and that would be security. And so do keep in mind you have full control with your security. It's actually very granular, the settings that you can have with your different users and groups of users. I am a full administrative user, so I have access to everything, which is why you can see everything. Do you know that you can pair that down via those security settings? You also have what's called view only users. I'll give you a few examples with that, but those are fantastic because they can only view. They can't edit or delete or anything like that, but it does give some controlled access to maybe dashboards or reports to some of your staff members. And then we have a third type of user that is specific to expense management, which I will show you, and that are those would be the nonfinancial users. So those are only going to be given access to that one piece of the system and nothing else, but you can do quite a bit with expense management. So we will show that to you. So just keep those users in mind as you think about your own users and the type of access that your organization might need. You have a lot of flexibility with that. To get us going, I'm gonna first start really at the beginning, the framework, and that would be the general ledger. Within the the framework of financial edge MXT, we do work very closely with you on that during implementation, to first understand your current structure. What's working well? What are some limitations? What are maybe some things that you're having to do outside the system? That sort of thing. That's all factored into how we implement FinancialGen XT for you because you do have some flexibility with that. So the first part of that is just keeping in mind, like I've mentioned, that this was built for nonprofits. It's fund based accounting, absolutely GAAP and FASB compliant, and we offer a chart of accounts that's purpose built for nonprofits. And what do I mean by that? Financial Edge NXT utilizes a segmented chart of accounts, which means that restrictions can be built directly into your chart of accounts. As you can see in this particular environment, my chart of accounts is pretty short and sweet. It's three segments. Do note that you have 10 segments that just come with the solution. So depending on what your needs might be during implementation, you might actually need more segments. Some other systems may call those dimensions. We just happen to call ours segments, but but you do get 10, and they are just part of what comes available to you. In addition, we offer additional unique records that make it so it's very very straightforward and simple to manage all of your restricted funds. So this does allow you to track funding across multiple parameters, maintain both quantitative and qualitative data, and access your net asset balance at any time, all without expanding your chart of accounts. So these records might look different for each organization on the line today because they accomplish the tracking of all the different types of funding coming into your organization. So these could be something as simple as the annual fund all the way up to an endowment, scholarship, a grant, an event, a sponsorship. Hopefully, you get the idea. But this is how we really do restricted fund management, and this is a native component for Financial Edge and XT. It's always been here, was not something that we added later on. It is very fundamental to our solution. So we'll explore those records a bit more but definitely just, like I say, just starting with the framework here of Financial Edge NXT. Also important, as you understand just just getting the information into a solution like Financial Gen XT, it's also important to understand how to get the information out. And we do that a couple of different ways. We have both dashboards as well as reporting. So let's take a look at both of those areas, the first being dashboards. So with dashboards, you do receive a pretty good lengthy list of dashboards with the system the very first time you sign in. This is one of those that's just, readily available to you. It is project focused so we were just talking about those types of records. So you can see a lot of examples to that because right now based on the filters, I have this wide open. So it's showing all of those records that are in this particular environment. Up here at the top though, I do have filter options. So those vary depending on the dashboard and what data is being represented, but certainly an important one here would just be, you know, maybe I only want to see a smaller grouping of projects. So I'm just randomly clicking here, but I can very quickly pair the system down and now I'm just seeing a much smaller grouping of those project records. Little side note, we're just talking about security, but you can also set the security at this project level. So if you have an end user, maybe a program officer that only oversees maybe four or five of these projects, you can set that at that security level for that user, and they don't even have to apply a filter because they would only have access to that small grouping of projects. So you have that flexibility. What's nice as well is drill down capability is a common thread throughout the solution. So if I wanted to dig a little bit deeper, I can do that directly from the dashboard. So I just clicked on this particular endowment record. It is opened, on the side panel here. It is the live record and it's just condensed down into that panel. So I do have a lot of information right here at my fingertips or I could expand that record out across the screen if I so choose. In addition to the dashboards that just come with the system, you also have what's called dashboard builder. And with dashboard builder, you have prebuilt insights. Quite a long list of those as well come with the system. And with the insights, you can drag and drop different insights onto a dashboard, make them the different sizes, put them in whatever order is best suited for you, and that is what we refer to as dashboard builder. So insights in this example would be invoice request list, invoice request by requester, etcetera. So these individual boxes are called insights. So that dashboard builder is just included with financial edge nxt. Additionally, if you want to take dashboards even a step further, you can do that too. So we call it Insight Designer. It is an add on to Financial Edge NXT. Though I will say if you happen to have another solution with Blackbaud such as Razer's Edge NXT, it's a buy one get one. So if you purchase Insight Designer for Financial Gen XT, you automatically get it for Razer's at Gen XT. But this is an example to an Insight designed, built dashboard. With this, you start with a blank canvas. You build from scratch, from the ground up, all of your own insights. I compare it to, queries. If you happen to love queries as I do and really wanna, you know, dig into your data, insight designer might be something to look at. So this is an example to that. There's a lot of information here. A colleague built this as an example to a controller dashboard. So you might very well want a lot of data in one place for that controller to have a one stop shop to these different areas of insights. So like I say, that's insight designer. So you really have three levels to dashboards depending on what your needs might be. And right alongside dashboards, we have reporting. So this is certainly a very, big strength of Financial Edge NXT because, like I said, we've been at this for a while. So all of the different nonprofit reports and financial statements that you would expect to receive with a full fund accounting solution are here. There's over 60 reports that just come with Financial Edge NXT and with all of these reports you can add different filters and parameters to them to make them as customized as you need. So we do cover a multitude of key areas with our reporting functionality and keep in mind that those project records I've mentioned a couple of times, they just become a filter when it comes time for reports. So if I wanted to run a particular report just for a small grouping of those projects just like we did with the dashboard, I can do that because those records just become filter options. You do also have the ability to schedule all of the reports. I love this feature because I I don't know about all of you, but I had different users that tended to ask for certain reports on a pretty regular cadence. So this was an opportunity here to put the system to work for me. So if they were always asking for a particular report, maybe the last Friday of the month. Maybe they were on a reporting deadline or they just, you know, had a committee meeting or a board meeting, whatever that looks like. I could just, like I say, put the system to work for me. So you can schedule these reports, and in this case, they would just automatically get what they need in their inbox. So definitely keep that in mind with all of the reports. Additionally, you can see at this very top tab that's blue and white, I have a lot of reports in this particular environment. So I do like to call out these other three tabs to the right of that blue one. Those are all user specific. So it just makes it nice, to get more quickly to the reports that you run on a regular basis. I for one am a big marker of favorites. I tend to squirrel my reports away on that tab and that's that's where I spend my time. So just a couple of examples I have pulled up here for you. This first one is just a nice budget to actual. I have added some additional columns with this. I do have, great flexibility here on the left side of that column to as far as how much level of detail I want to show. You can have unlimited templates as to that as far as, you know, what you wanna apply to your different reports, but this is an out of the box report for us. Another example, this one I did export to Excel just to show you that. This is just that statement of financial position out of the box. I have done nothing to it other than just run it, just to show you I can absolutely add additional columns of detail depending on what it is I'm wanting to to to to represent. So right alongside the ability to export as either a PDF or excel documents, I mentioned the drill down capability and that's that being a common thread, it got carried into many of our reports as well. So to show you that, I'm just gonna hover over that top line, operating cash account, just to show you that as I do that, I'm over the account number in this case. My cursor changed to a hand and a little hyperlink box popped up. That is the system just letting me know I am still connected to Financial Edge NXT. And because I have the security rights, I can drill down and be right back into the system just like that. So if I am an end user that has access such as view only, I can do that. Maybe if I had a question, I'm now live on that record. Maybe I could answer my own question versus calling the business office. Certainly important to call out, be pretty specific with this that there is a security element at play here. This does not open the system up to just anybody. It is specific to the users and how you have established those, within your own system. But certainly important, just to note and really circle back on when you have a system built for pure fund accounting, that includes having these distinct records in the system for restricted fund management and reporting. So one more example, this is a good a really good go to report for me, restricted activity report. This is just a quick example of how easy it is to keep a close eye on your restricted revenue. All I've done is filter by just a handful of those restricted accounts, depending on maybe who the end stakeholder is that that needs to receive this report. So that's the dashboard reporting combination. I am going to pause for just a moment and hand it over to Marybeth for another poll question, and then we'll keep going. Marybeth. Thank you so much, Heather. Okay. Second poll is opening up now, and that question is, what would make your job today easier? So if any of this functionality sounds interesting or would help you out in your day to day, let us know. Things like integrated bank and credit card feeds, built in expense management tools, maybe some native accounts payable automation. I'll leave that open for just a second, and we'll see what everyone's thinking. So far, we've got a tie between integrated bank and credit card feeds and expense management. Okay. Awesome. Thank you so much, Heather. I will hand it back over to you, and I think, eventually, we're gonna take a look at all of these. That is correct. So spoiler alert, we'll definitely cover all of those areas. But before I do that, I did promise that we were going to, explore one of those project records. So I have pulled up a federal grant example. A little note, you may refer to these as sub funds in your organization. So I call them project records, but that can be renamed here within Financial. NXT. Sub funds is a close second that we hear these called as well. So, just taking a peek into one of these restricted records, as I've said, this is a unique record in the system. All pertinent details have a place in the system. So you can see balances and activity and budget altogether. You can also look back on prior years just right here on the records. If I wanted to look back at fiscal twenty three, all I had to do was change it up here at the top, and all of this summary information was very quickly refreshed, the graph as well. And as I scroll down just a little bit more, all that fiscal period information was quickly refreshed. So there are definitely times that just by changing that depending right here on the record what I wanna look at, I often don't go to reports as often as I used to just because I have so much information readily at my fingertips right here. So right alongside activity and budget, you can also store attachments. You know, think of the documentation regarding restrictions and other qualitative information. Maybe think about the details that you may be keeping in spreadsheets or filing systems. Instead, know that you have the extra flexibility to manage all the important details for the variety of funding sources you received here in one place. You also have actions. These are often follow-up tasks. Grant reports is definitely a big one, so you can keep those here in the system. Contacts, I used to keep both internal and external, depending on the projects right here in the system. I always like to point out custom fields. These are unlimited and they just become yet another filter in reports. But if you have specific or maybe more unique, data that you need to track and report on, know that custom fields are limited and you can build those out however you may need. So there is definitely a lot of information just right here on those individual records. Next, just based on the poll, let's take a look, at the treasury side and we'll look at expense management and then also some accounts payable. So some really fun areas here definitely as we think about really managing and utilizing the support that's coming into your organizations. So making a first stop here under treasury, this is where our bank accounts and our credit card accounts are created. You can see in this environment, I have a good eight. So you have you can have as many accounts in the system as you may need. Coming into one of those accounts just to show you around a little bit, it's gonna feel familiar at this point. You've seen records a couple of times now. They all look and feel and function the same way which makes the system very easy to learn. But as we explore this particular record, it is really important to note that you have the ability to connect your live financial institutions to Financial Edge NXT. So depending on how many of those accounts that you have, you can establish that and then you can interact with the live bank feed as well as the credit card feed as often as you may want. So up here at the top, it very creatively says view and match transactions. This is what that looks like. So you might have already guessed it, but I am not in a live environment, so we get to pretend here. But in a live environment, the bank feed would automatically populate on the left side of my screen, then it places it next to your live bank register there on the right. The system will automatically match and clear transactions for you. You can manually do it. There might be a time and a place for that too. You can go either way. What's nice about this capability in the system is, like I say, you can interact with it as much as you'd like. When I was still a customer, this was a big area for me because I had a lot of accounts. And I just got into the habit of coming in here about once a week, depending on the time of year and the volume, and just clearing out the activity while it was fresh in my mind. Then when I was actually sitting down to do reconciliation at month end, I was normally just reconciling and clearing out the last week or so of the month. So I was able just to kinda spread the workout throughout the month, especially what was fresh in my mind, and it just made reconciliation that much more efficient. And I was desperate for some efficiencies with that. Additionally, with the accounts, you do also have the the flexibility to have the credit card accounts. Many of those as you may need as well. I do make mention just because I have a nice visual here to help me out, but we do also have the Blackbaud purchase card. So this is a great opportunity, to to control spending because you can have very specific spending controls and spending limits by cardholder. You can streamline your purchasing program because this does seamlessly connect with expense management as well, and it's a rebate program, so it's great. So you have that option. Do note I usually get this question. If you have existing credit card accounts, you can connect those too. So it is not just limited to the Blackbaud purchase card. Just an option if you want to explore that. So now that we've established the bank accounts and the credit card accounts, let's take a look into expense management. Now I did position this area of the system earlier when I was talking about users and access. So if you all recall, I mentioned non financial users and how those are specific to expense management. Those types of users are unlimited, and like I said, they only see expense management. I'm a full user. I see everything. They would only see expenses, and that's it. So they get a little slice of the financial gen x tea pie and and nothing else. Do you also keep in mind, like I said at the very beginning, this solution is available anywhere you have the Internet. You don't even need an app. It's just web based. So you can just go right on to your smartphone. If you're one of these non financial users and maybe you have some credit card activity and you wanna get that receipt submitted before you lose it, you can just do that on your smartphone. You can also do it with the invoice side. We'll explore both sides. But just some options there as you think about your end users and maybe some tools that would help them. So there's a lot of goodness here within expense management, as you think about maybe some of your different payroll excuse me, accounts payable processes. For you, maybe those might be a bit paper heavy today, maybe manual in nature, or just, you know, just a lot. A lot of, manual approvals you're chasing down. I see a little bit of all of that, and I experienced all of the above, when I was still a customer. So this is why this is one of the favorite areas of the system for me. Let's start on the left on the credit card side. So this would be I have set up my credit card account. I've indicated my cardholders, and now we're we're just gonna pretend that we're one of those cardholders, and we've had some charges. So I would just come right here and work with my charges. What's gonna kick into gear in a live environment would be the credit card feed. So that would populate in that left panel, and I would only be seeing my my credit card charges and nobody else's in the organization. The remaining part of the screen is pretty simple. That's on purpose. At this point, we've got some basic fields to supply the business office with the details as to why this charge occurred. You also can do a little AI here. So you can upload the receipt, by using some AI and it will scan the receipt for you and populate the fields. It's AI. It's not perfect, so we would wanna then review that information, make sure it understood everything correctly, before we moved on, but you have that that option. Additionally, you have approval rules and these are unlimited. You can have as many of these in the system as is applicable to your organization, but it does really help you out. So instead of chasing physical signatures approve of approval on paper, it will automate that for you. So I have built this particular rule out as an example that that I'm the first approver. I have to approve everything, but if it's above a certain dollar amount, Ryan also has to approve it. What's nice about that is as these transactions flow through those approval rules, it does create an audit trail for you on the record itself. So definitely a great area come audit time. Additionally, we can capture additional text information. You also have unlimited expense categories. I really like these because you can build these out and just save your end users some time. So in this case, the account is already been populated, but maybe your end users are expected to supply the project that this particular transaction is related to, and they could even split it out a couple of different ways over accounts and projects. But there is some prebuilt information that you could choose to have within those expense categories. And then here at the bottom, if you have not yet attached the receipt, if you happen to be doing this on a smartphone or a tablet, you can just take a picture of that receipt. It's live attached to Financial Edge NXT. The end user would then click submit. It would flow through the approval process, however you've built those out, and then it would flow into accounts payable as credit card activity, which at that point, it is still in a pending status. So the business office can review that information, make sure all looks good, match it to the credit card statement, and get that paid on time. The other side to expense management would be the invoice side. I do make note here if you also have reimbursement requests or maybe check requests, I had all of the above and it was all on paper floating around in large yellow envelopes. You can definitely consolidate a lot of that just right here. So that just depends on your accounts cable processes and what might help you. But if I click right here on new request, you're gonna see pretty quickly it's very similar to what we just covered on the credit card side. Again, that's on purpose. This is very simple. The only difference here is I now have an invoice number invoice date field. Beyond that, it's identical. You also have the AI option here to help generate generate these requests. What that can look like I did build one out just as an example. On this case, this top one, for $4,995.50, All I did was attach the invoice, and it populated all these fields for me. I can review it, make sure it all, you know, read that invoice correctly, but definitely a time saver because not only am I getting the invoice attached, but I'm saving some manual data entry as well. So that's just using some document intelligence that is built within Financial Edge NXT. Additionally, when you utilize the budget management area of financial edge NXT that is just included, do note that there are controls put in place. So I built an example here that I happen to know this particular project, does not have the budget for $15,000 of an invoice request. So what happens when I go to try to submit that? The system says, hey. You've got a problem here. So one of your one or more of your accounts does not have a budget. So that is just an internal control that's been put into gear put into practice because of budget management. So just a great tool as far as, really making us stay on the straight and narrow and utilize these funds correctly and not overspend, which is great. Next, let's take a peek because all of this information from expense management does automatically flow into accounts payable. I mentioned with the ex the credit card side of the house, it flows in as that credit card activity. Well, you might have guessed it, the invoice side. It flows in as an invoice record already for review and payment. But the business office, really important. They control that information as it comes into payables. And so if any adjustments are needed, that is fully within the control of the business office. But I did just wanna make a stop here on a vendor record. Looks pretty darn similar to the other records that we've looked at, but there's a lot of information here as well. There are controls and defaults that you can set, just to make life a little bit more easy, more straightforward, but also consistent. So in this case, maybe this particular vendor gets paid the same way over that account and project combination. I have that here as a default, so I don't have to key that information in every time. We do also keep the ten ninety nine detail right here within those vendor records. This happens to be a ten ninety nine vendor, so I've indicated those fields. It's gonna capture that information throughout the calendar year. And then at calendar year end, we're gonna produce the ten ninety six and the ten ninety nines directly from Financial Edge NXT. I'm even using attachments in this particular example for the w nine. Just keep that right here as well with every other type of documentation, then you know you have it and you don't have to keep it somewhere else within the solution. And the drill down capability, I've said it a couple times now, but it's everywhere. If you notice on the screen, there's a lot of blue text that's throughout the solution, but blue text within financial edge and x t means drill down. So I can drill into any one of these activities, or accounts or projects, that sort of thing. I can also just quick search for anything. I got blue text here and go into any past activity. So it's really I use that just as a quick example just to show you, it's very fluid to move around in financial edge NXT and get to different areas of the solution depending on what you might be working on. Also, just as a quick mention, we do also have the Blackbaud payment assistant. I'm I'm just coming back here to treasury for just a quick second. This is a, part of the system that's just built in. So we call it payment assistant. So if you are looking for more of an automated payment solution that can pay vendors by virtual card, ACH, or check, and you'd like to shift some of that work over to Blackbaud, that is what payment assistant is. So it does save your organization both hard and soft costs that can directly impact the bottom line. So do know that that is just a feature that is available right within Financial Edge NXT. Alright. I'm gonna pause one more time for the third and final poll, and then I will be back. Okay. Right, Beth. Have you. there alright. Last poll for the day opening up now. And this one is on the topic of your technology infrastructure infrastructure and the connections between finance and the other solutions that your organization is using. So in your current setup, does your accounting solution integrate with your fundraising solution or CRM? If you have a separate grant management tool, are those two connected? Maybe if you're using a payroll solution, does that connect into accounting today? Let us know, and I'll leave that open for just another second. Okay. Yeah. It looks like we've got some folks dealing with disconnected systems, especially between the CRM and the accounting solution. And in grant management is a big one as well. Okay. Thank you so much for your answers, Heather. I'll toss it back over to you and we'll take a look at what the options are in the Blackbaud ecosystem. Okay. Perfect. Thank you, Marybeth. Let me just grab the screen again. And we're gonna cover quite a. bit of ground here. you again, Heather, What's thanks everyone note joining us. is there's just couple lot of extensibility we close out, with all of these solutions you an email the cloud. It's really a whole new world. to the recording from first example I always case to give and certainly a complimentary portion of it or share it with your colleagues. financial NXT encourage Raiser's to do so. NXT. And like Heather mentioned, have a journal entry email, up on the screen right now. the opportunity It is indicating call with us in case, you'd like to do a deeper see, dive know, into, what Financial contributions NextE in. could look like at your about this journal entry. is I didn't have to create it. you so much for joining. is a wonderful this was helpful and look forward to continuing Financial conversation NXT you. keeping fundraising and finance on the same page, sharing data. But as contributions are captured in that fundraising CRM, they can just naturally flow into Financial Edge NXT via the journal entries. They do arrive and post it. And so I do have the ability to review this information and control when it actually posts to the general ledger. So that's that's area number one as far as just, you know, thinking of the ecosystem and and making life a little bit easier within your organization. Fundraising and finance is certainly critical. Another example, and I'm gonna show a journal entry to start out with to do this one as well, would be, you know, other types of data that need to come into Financials MaxT to get posted to the general ledger. So the example on the screen now is a payroll example because everyone does payroll. In this example, maybe I do use a third party payroll application. I I love the software. I'm gonna stay with it, but I do need to get that information into my accounting solution. Let me show you how we can automate that. So this particular journal entry is yet again one that I did not have to create. No manual data entry here. It did start first did the payroll solution, and then I was able to get that information exported out to excel and from there it becomes automated. So if you look in the upper right hand corner of my excel environment, I have some extra buttons up there. What's nice about these is they are free. You actually just go to the Microsoft Store or add ins depending on what version of Excel you're in. You type blackbaud and they are available for free download for Financial Edge NXT. So the one that we, of course, are gonna use here would be the journal entry batch, but do note we have one for budgeting even distribution sets. They do all work the same way so once you've done a time or two you got it down. In this case, it is live connected to Financial Gen Xt. So this can be compared to traditional importing. And I don't know about all of you, but I had a love hate relationship with importing through the years. Sometimes it worked great, other times not so much, and it was like finding a needle in a haystack to figure out why the import failed. Here instead with the Excel add in tool, if any of this could not be mapped automatically to Financial Edge NXT, it would have highlighted in red the exact cell where the problem existed. So it's much faster to fix that information and then move on. So in this case, it confirmed my account numbers were correct and active. I also distribute down to the project level, and so it also confirmed that those projects were correct and active. At this point, I'm good. I can give this a description over here on the right hand side and click submit, And that is how this journal entry came to live in the system. And like I mentioned with the Raiser's Edge integration, the pay the journal entries are created automatically, but there are, arriving on posted, and that's on purpose. Same works here with the Excel add in tools. So I do have the option to review everything. Maybe there is a separation of duties with that within your internal controls, but this one I have posted. But important to note, it was originally unposted. And with attachments, I have those here as well. So in this case, I happen to attach the, excel document that we were just looking at. So those are definitely the types of documentation that I liked to always have throughout Financial Edge NXT. Definitely made audit time, just a whole lot more streamlined. So those would be the excel add in tools. Keep in mind we have them for budgeting. So within budget management, you do have unlimited budget scenarios. So a lot of examples are on the screen right now. But if at any point during your budgeting process, you are doing the work in Excel, I know there was a time and a place for that for me. We had different users that needed to give input into the budget process, but they didn't necessarily need to be doing it live in FinancialGen XT. So we did that work in Excel, and then I just used the Excel add in tool to send it on into financial edge NXT and it creates the scenario like this particular example. So it just depends, you know, how you do maybe your budget planning, if you do different forecasting, that sort of thing, but budget management does give you some nice flexibility. In addition to, you know, just the complimentary solutions that Blackbaud offers, black, Blackbaud grant making is another one of those solutions. So if your organization gives out grants, know that blackbaud grant making is a fantastic tool as well, to help manage that entire process. So we do have some really great solutions that work very well with Financial Edge NXT. We also have the Blackbaud marketplace. So this is an area that is just available and what is in here would be a lot of partner solutions. So a lot of our partners we have been working with for decades and they have some amazing solutions. And they have already built the integration to Financial Edge NXT for those complimentary solutions. So I always like to say know what's natively available in Financial Edge NXT as well as Raiser's Engine XT and our other solutions. And if there's something in the system as far as functionality that you need to take to the next level, know that the Blackbaud marketplace is here for you to explore some of those options. So if you need even further AP automation, you want a payroll partner that's natively integrated with Financial Edge NXT, if you need to do even more finite budgeting or more extensive reporting, we have partner solutions in here that are fantastic. What's nice with this as well is there's even consulting partners in here. Many of these have people on their teams that have decades worth of both razor's edge and financial edge experience. So really some great consulting partners as well. Additionally, you may even have other technology vendors that you would like to work with, and that's fantastic. With Financial Edge NXT, it has been built on the Sky API platform. So on the screen now is our API reference. This is a tool that if you have an in house or contract developer, this is something that they would need because you can then connect Financial Edge NXT with other third party applications by building those connections and then seamlessly transferring data to Financial Edge NXT. So the API reference is just available. Those endpoints are very important. And as I look to wrap us up, I'm just gonna take us back to the home page, make a couple of quick mentions of other areas that we have not covered today with our time allowed. So do you know that, we would love to continue this conversation. We also have allocation management for those organizations that need that. We have fixed assets, accounts receivable, purchase orders, all of that goodness. So this is a very broad solution that does a lot of amazing things for nonprofit organizations. So do know that we can show those to you as well, and we'd love to schedule a a more tailored demo and and really dig into that that information with you. But we have covered a lot of ground today and so I will just pass it back to Marybeth, to start wrapping us up.
