Transcript for "Product Update Briefing - Blackbaud Impact Edge for Corporations":
Hi there, and good morning, good afternoon, wherever you might be, and welcome to our very first product update briefing for Impact Edge. We are so excited to dive into these updates today. But before we do that, I would love to do a quick round of introductions. For those of you who I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Kayla Barnes. I'm a product marketing manager with the YourCause and Impact Edge Solutions, and I've been with the company for about 7 years. And I'm Andrea Jaglo. I'm the head of YourCause and Data Products for Corporate Impact here at Blackbaud, and my pronouns are she, her, hers. And I've been with Blackbaud about a year and a half. And I'm Kevin Kirschner. I'm a senior product manager, working on Impact Edge. I've been at Blackbaud for 2 years. Hi, everyone. Thanks for joining us today. My name is Jewel Willett. My pronouns are she, her, hers, and I am the senior manager of customer success enablement for YourCause Solutions. And I have been with the, company for a little over 11 years. Awesome. Thanks for those introductions y'all. And I'd love to quickly kinda go over what our agenda looks like for the day. So we'll talk a lot about Impact Edge and kinda give you a quick overview of the YourCause solutions, since those are the predominant solutions that feed into Impact Edge right now. So just in case you aren't familiar, we'll spend a little bit of time upfront kind of reviewing that. And then we'll dive into the road map. We'll take a look at what's available now, which is predominantly consisting of our impact dashboards for YourCause Grants Connect and CSR Connect solutions. And then we'll talk about what's coming soon, which really encompasses, our Blackbaud copilot early adopter program for a volunteering dataset. And then to round us out, we'll talk about next step. So we'll talk about exciting updates in store for 2025, including that general availability launch of Blackbaud Copilot. And throughout today, we'll share a little bit of history of AI, some really great resources for you to lean into, and even, some use cases that we've already seen kind of emerging from our customer base as they get their hands on the dashboards. So a little bit of housekeeping about today's webinar platform. The audio will be broadcast through your speaker, so, hopefully, you can hear me. If you have any trouble with audio or loading, we ask that you refresh your browser. That's the quickest way to get that working for you. And if you continue to run into any technical difficulties, Chrome is the preferred web browser for, today's platform. So maybe consider switching over to Chrome if you don't have that up already, and close out of other apps for Bandwidth. Let's see. The recording for the webinar will be delivered to your inbox within 24 hours, so you will automatically receive a recording of today's session. And then on the right hand side, there's a couple of quick things I wanna point out. So you see the docs tab. The docs tab has several great resources for you all that you can click to download. That top link is our companion guide. So our companion guides are great little summaries of the available now and coming soon features that we'll be talking about today, so a great reference point of material, to look back and get a quick synopsis of the material that we covered today. And then on the far right, you'll also see the q and a tab. We ask that as you ask questions throughout today's presentation that you give us a little bit of specifics, a little bit of material to reference just because we might be moving through the slides a little bit quicker than we're able to get to your question. So just give us a little bit of specific information about the the specific piece of functionality that you're looking to get information on. And then finally, you'll also see a chat tab. That chat is not open to the public, but we can use that to push out any messages to you all. So we likely won't use it today, but should we run into any technical difficulties on our end, we'll make sure to broadcast a message to the chat. And then because this does, talk about forward looking statements, I do need to read the safe harbor statement in its entirety. This presentation contains forward looking statements that involve inherent risks, uncertainties, and assumptions. It outlines Blackbaud's current plans and general product direction as of the date this presentation was created. Functionality described in this presentation that is not currently available is subject to change at any time without notice at Blackbaud's sole discretion. It does not represent a commitment to develop or release specific features within the time frame discussed according to presented design or at all. Please make any purchase decisions based on features and functionality that are currently available. Like I mentioned, I just wanna spend a couple quick minutes grounding us in the solutions at Power Impact Edge. So at the moment, the YourCause solutions are what is being rolled into ImpactEDge from the impact dashboards that we'll talk a lot about today. If you're not familiar, YourCause offers 2 platforms to power CSR programs. 1 being CSR Connect, powering giving, volunteering, employee resource groups, and so much more. And then we also offer Grants Connect, which helps streamline and amplify your community investment efforts all the way from application to award, payment, disbursement, outcomes tracking, all that good stuff. These two solutions have shared integrated data feeds and data and reporting structures, for quite some time. But with Impact Edge, we're really upping the the amount of data that you can get to, how you can see that data, and it's our new reporting and storytelling solution, which is why you're here today. So we've created Impact Edge because we believe that CSR professionals like yourself deserve a reporting solution as inspiring as the impact that you make. So with Impact Edge, we're helping busy busy CSR professionals unify their data to unlock their reporting potential, and that starts with synthesizing and bringing together that data from CSR Connect and Grants Connect into a unified data structure. That unified data then powers the impact dashboards. We are currently in the midst of rolling out these impact dashboards to our clients. And so if you don't already have it yet and you're your cost customer, you will by the end of the year, and we'll really spend a lot of today's time, diving into those dashboards and getting getting to kind of look at all the exciting functionality that's available now and coming soon with that complimentary feature. And then beyond the dashboards, our customers have the opportunity to add Blackbaud Copilot to their partnership with us. And Blackbaud Copilot is your supercharged generative AI social impact assistant. Blackbaud Copilot will help you turn all of these numbers into compelling narratives in a matter of moments. So imagine being able to do things like create volunteer event descriptions, draft press releases, answer questions about your programs, all in just moments. Copilot is truly designed to be an extension of your team, helping you save time and get to those impactful insights. So we'll dive into Blackbaud Copilot a little bit more towards the second half of today's presentation, as we talk about the early adopter program that will be underway in December. So with that, I'd love to pass the mic to my colleague, Andrea, so she can talk a little bit more about how Impact Edge is structured. Thank you, Kayla. I'm I'm excited to share some updates today on Impact Edge as we are in limited availability rollout for your cross customers through the end of this year and will be in general availability for new customers in q 1 of 2025. We start with so just going across this slide. So we start with the world's most robust set of philanthropic data, and we combine it with systems of engagement and record like CSR Connect and Grants Connect that help you capture the most useful data possible. We then utilize our intelligence for good strategy to make the most of AI tools, making them accessible to you when and where you need them, making them powerful and focused enough to solve your actual business problems, meaning they are geared and specifically designed to help you as CSR professionals do your work in a better, more, efficient way, and making them responsible through a secure, ethical, and trustworthy approach to to AI. And finally, combining it all with expertise, powered by more than 4 decades of sector leadership and 20 plus years of data intelligence expertise, all a 100% focused on solving your challenges for the social impact community. And despite 55% of c suite executives reporting that their organizations have adopted AI, 54% of employees say they have no idea how their company uses it, which is a considerable disconnect. We have gener we have a generative AI council that governs the development and deployment of generative AI. It's made up of of executive and senior leaders from across the company to ensure responsible use and consideration of our diverse set of jobs and people. People. We have policies in place that allow us to continue to be innovative with AI while mitigating risk. We have cohorts with employees from all areas of the company and global workforce contributing to adoption and feedback. So we really are practicing what we preach as far as using AI within Blackbaud. We use an we utilize an AI factory approach, which allows for both adoption and evolution of controls and governance. And now is an appropriate time for you and others in your department to sit down and understand your company's AI policy and then develop an internal team policy to ensure you're using AI for the good of society and to increase your efficiencies at work. And we can help with Impact Edge. Before we dive into Impact Edge, I wanna take a couple quick minutes to talk about our cybersecurity program here at Blackbaud. Over the past few years, Blackbaud has made significant investment in security. We've also shared about changes we've implemented to our incident response plans and our vulnerability management program. Today, we're sharing the bigger picture of how it all ties into a common goal to mature our cybersecurity program against industry best practices to ensure a comprehensive and effective program that can prevent and detect current threats and anticipate future threats. We have aligned our program to the CSA reference architecture, the NISTI framework, and the CSA Cloud Controls Matrix, allowing us to adopt a defense in-depth strategy when it comes to protecting our systems and data. And finally, to highlight the obvious, this slide is a lot. It's a lot to digest and a lot to understand, and that's the point. This slide is meant to represent the layered security approach we have implemented, showing how all of our controls work together to protect our systems and data. Taking a defense in-depth approach to cybersecurity is important because it provides multiple layers of protection against a wide variety of threats. Cyber threats are constantly evolving, and no single security measure is a 100% effective. By implementing multiple security layers, such as firewalls, intrusion detectants detection systems, and encryption, a defense in-depth strategy ensures that if one layer fails, other can others continue to provide protection, minimizing the likelihood of a successful attack. Some benefits of the this approach include multiple layers of protection, reduced risk of single point of failure, enhanced detection and response, and increased resilience. Now let's get back to Impact Edge, the reason you all are here. I'd like to start by grounding us in our overall Impact Edge vision and strategic focus areas. Our vision is to unlock your reporting potential. To deliver on that vision, Impact Edge is bringing together all of your your cost data in one place with intuitive and beautiful visuals and data insights at your fingertips. We are focused on a 3 point strategy to unify your data in one place, creating synergies across all of your CSR and grant making efforts. And we also are going to create efficiencies in understanding your data and gleaning insights from that data, and to empower you all to tell your employee engagement and community impact stories through strategic data partnerships and AI capabilities. As we go through today's session, we'll relate our recent and upcoming product updates to these three strategic themes that you see on the screen. Moving on, I'd like to frame the road map conversation by time horizons. Expect this presentation to focus a lot on features recently released and available today because we want to ensure customers are aware of and taking full advantage of them. For the release preview or coming soon time frame, we will share information about specific features we have a high degree of confidence about releasing in the next few months. For new capabilities likely to be released 6 months or more from now, we'll talk at a more thematic level, and you can come to the product update session in the spring to hear more concrete details. But I also invite you to to subscribe to our release notes and admin workshops throughout the year. So let's review what has been released in the last several months that is available today in the product. Right now, we have provided data and insights related to all of the YourCause Data product suite, volunteering and giving data from CSR Connect and grants data from Grants Connect. Now I will hand it over to Jewel to cover more details about our timeline and resources. Alright. So last time that we met, we were wrapping up our early adopter program. Obviously, as you've heard today, we are halfway through. Actually, we are more than halfway through as of yesterday, our limited availability waves. In this phase, we've started activating the complimentary impact edge dashboards for our customers. And to support adoption, we're offering training, resources, and having conversations with customers to get feedback in a really thoughtful way. Limited availability, also known as LA, will be complete in December for all current YourCause customers. This means that new customers of YourCause will have access to the dashboards upon your launch, if you launch starting in 2025. So within this phase, we've had so many wonderful discoveries, and we wanted to talk through a few of those with you today. Here we go. So I have to say, it's been a pleasure to be part of so many product launches, within the YourCause solutions and the the overall Blackbaud umbrella. We are really lucky to work with a product innovation team that values human centered design. And if you are a student of this concept, you know that testing with the audience that you have designed a solution for is how you're going to get the impact that you are looking to make with what you're building. So here we are. We've been giving access to a wider audience through LA and seeing the Impact Edge dashboard concept really come to life with those who are using it. With each wave, we are taking time to observe the way in which our customers explore the new dashboards. This gives us the ability to prioritize the ways we expand the capabilities and improve the experience for everybody. Through our community discussions, resources, news posts, and more, we are beginning to cultivate purpose and potential with Impact Edge users. We are providing virtual hands on training with customers each month. Myself and a few others from the customer success team have been welcoming new users and sharing tools to aid in adoption and understanding. And finally, we are not holding back on how we grow Impact Edge capabilities anytime soon. You're gonna hear a lot of what's to come today, but we have already started regular and routine releases. And we, have, really been working to break down barriers to getting the data that you need quickly with the new features and functionalities that we are releasing. So, you know, honestly, if we sought out to improve a CSR practitioner's daily workload with Impact Edge, logically, the product is going to continue to thrive as you continue to share your ideas. I hope you're excited to hear about some of the things that are coming up soon and see yourself reflected in those if you have been sharing those ideas. Speaking of sharing and collaboration, we do want you to come join us in the Impact Edge community. These private communities for Blackbaud, or excuse me, our Impact Edge community is a private community. Blackbaud overall has communities for all their products. But our Impact Edge 1 specifically is private and accessible by invite only. If you haven't joined us yet, check out your ImpactEdge welcome email, or speak with your CSM to grab your invitation link. Once you're in, you'll have access to connect with us. You can keep up and keep in touch with the Global Good Network via discussion boards and chats. You can learn, through our latest product release updates as well as resources that our subject matter experts are starting to release within the community. And then finally, you get to engage. There is access to an events calendar and more where you're able to sign up for in person events, thought leadership webinars, etcetera, not just about Impact Edge, but about the entire CSR, industry and perspective. You know, we are committed to providing you with the best possible experience and that's why we have made help center content readily available and recently integrated the communication tool, Pendo, into Impact Edge. These resources are designed to enhance the user experience by creating quick access for help content and customer support. Through Impact Edge, you'll notice on the top right corner of every page that you're on, you just simply click on the question mark icon and it will expand details and information that are responsive to the page that you're on in the product. If you wanna know more, there's links to head out to the actual help center and start to navigate around to find more details and information about other pages and other facets. But it's a really great way to get the help you need right there, while you're using the page that you're on. Alright. I'm gonna pass the mic to my colleague, Kevin, to dive more into the dashboards and give you a view into what each have to offer. Alright. Thank you, Jewel. We're gonna now dive in and take a closer look at each of the impact dashboards. But first I just wanna hit on some key features, common to the entire, Impact Edge. So our Impact dashboards are complementary for our customers who leverage one of the your cost solutions. And not only are they free but you're gonna be able to set it, and add as many users as you want so it's unlimited to the users. This will help you disseminate your data to as many stakeholders as you need. For customers who purchase Blackbaud Copilot, the Jira AI portion of Impact Edge, you'll be able to set permissions and and control who has access to the dashboards and who has access to the dashboards and copilot. Highlighting a few other key elements here with Impact Edge data is refreshed in the system daily at night. You'll be able to download and share each dashboard. So there's a great feature to share it with your colleagues and save that filter and we'll see some of that in the tool. Dashboards have a consistent design pattern including interactive snapshot maps where you can drill into specific cities and zoom out to get a broader view. You also have views into year over year trends and these components will adjust as you apply filtering options. You'll also have key headline metrics or KPIs visible on each dashboard and each of these data points is accompanied by a trend metric indicating if the activity has increased, decreased or remained neutral compared to equivalent time period just prior to the data ratio selected. So let's take a look at the homepage. As a gateway to Impact Edge, the homepage gives you a high level snapshot of your data across Blackbaud Corporate Impact Solutions you use. The homepage is designed to give you a quick like pulse check on your programs and highlight interesting trends you might wanna investigate further. There are 3 primary visualizations on the homepage. We have the impact snapshot, a high level look at your impact including dynamic map that you see here where you can zoom in and zoom out and get a more detailed look by location. You also have recent activity feed there on the right and which you get new and notable data the Impact Edge has flagged for your review. And then lastly, you have an engagement table. This is a format view of leadership board activities giving you a pulse and impact across areas like work location, charities, schools, and grants depending on what product you use with Blackbaud and your cost. Let's go ahead and take a look at the giving dashboard now. Alright. The giving dashboard provides 3 primary dashboard views of engagement and impact you're having in your employee giving programs. This data is populated from YourCause CSR connect solution from the giving module including data from incentives, give engagement elements and peer to peer fundraising. Total giving, employee giving, and match amounts represent processed and confirmed donations in all giving dashboards. Donations that are still unprocessed can still be found, but they're gonna be on the giving donations dashboard. Alright. There are 4 tabs in the giving dashboard. There's an overview tab. This dashboard focuses on employee attributes including work location and HR fire file fields and including custom fields. There's a cherries tab. This view focuses on which cherries are receiving the employee in match giving and where these cherries are located. And then then we also have a donations dashboard. This dashboard gives you the ability to see how your donations are being made. By diving deeper into the different giving methods available in your community as well as the status of the donations, this is a great operational like dashboard. You'll also you'll be able to see employee giving by transaction classification, employee giving by transaction location, employee giving by transaction status, and employee matching, grants utilization year to date. There's also a trends tab, but we're gonna discuss that later. We have a quick video that will walk you through this dashboard. Let's take a look at the giving dashboards in Impact Edge. The initial giving overview dashboard focuses on the sources of your engagement. So you'll notice several filters that you can leverage from date ranges to geographic filters, and views into engagement by department and business unit. The snapshot map allows you to dig into specific cities or zoom out for an overview of giving participation. At the top of the map component, you'll see 4 primary headline metrics for total donation amount, donor count, engagement rate, and donated charities. And to the right of the map, you'll notice there's a year over year giving view. It includes trend lines and key data points such as total donated charities and total donated amount. The table view at the bottom allows you to segment data by additional attributes from your HR file. So you can look at things like employee business unit, region, department, or any other custom attributes your organization includes in your CSR Connect HR file. Next, we have the giving charities view, and this focuses on where the organizations receiving your employee donations are located. You'll see a giving by charity location snapshot map and a top 5 donated charities view. You'll also see headline metrics with the map for total donation amount, donor count, engagement rate, and donated charities. You'll also have insight into the impact your donations are having by cause area and categories mapped from the NTE code. And at the bottom, the donated charities table lists charity details and data points such as employee donation amount, match amount, total donations, donor count, and engagement rates. You can click into a charity here and go to its charity detail page. And charity detail pages give you a detailed view about the impact you're having with the charity across your giving, volunteering, and grants data in one view. You'll also be able to see a participation overview providing insight into how many of your employees are interacting with the charity. And our last giving dashboard gives you a deep dive into your donations by donation type. You can even get as detailed as looking at a transaction medium, for your donations. For example, an engagement element. You could filter by engagement element and then scroll down here to the employee giving table and be able to click into specific engagement elements to understand how your employees gave, through that piece of functionality. So for example, if you set up an engagement element specific to disaster relief, you would be able to see this data specific to that one engagement element. Alright. So that was the giving dashboard. I do wanna highlight something that, was covered in the video and that's these, the charity page. The charity detail page was a really nice feature and aligned with our vision to unify data where you get to get to see your grants, your giving, your volunteering all on one page for that specific charity. So that's a really powerful feature. I just want to point out there and highlight from that video. Let's go ahead and take a look at our volunteering page and the volunteering dashboard. So in the volunteering dashboard, you'll find a similar design pattern to the Giving dashboard. This data is populated from your cause's CSR connect solution for the volunteering module. There are 3 tabs in the volunteering dashboard similar to the giving dashboard. We have an overview. The volunteering overview dashboard focuses on employee attributes in the HR file and work location of the employee. And then we have a charities tab this view similar to the giving is going to be centered on where the charities are that your employees volunteer with are located. Instead of filtering by employee location these geographic filters are going to be driven by the location of the charity. So it's kind of the flip side of the other coin of of the employee file. And now we have and then you have an events tab. The events dashboard allows you to get detailed view of all your volunteering events, including hours, volunteers, and the benefiting organizations. I also have a brief video showing you this functionality that we'll watch now. You'll notice that data is displayed in a similar fashion as the giving dashboards. This first volunteering overview dashboard is centered on where your employees who volunteer are located. On the volunteering snapshot map, you'll be able to zoom in and out for a more detailed or broader view, and you'll have headline metrics for hours, volunteers, engagement rate, charities, and total events. To the right of the map, there's a year over year volunteering view. This includes trend lines and key data points, such as total charities your employees have volunteered with and total hours volunteered. The employee volunteering table view also lets you slice data by HR file attributes, just like in the giving overview dashboard. The volunteering charities view is focused on where the charities your employees volunteer with are located and, again, really follows the same pattern for displaying data as the giving charities dashboard. This page also features these cool views into how your programs are impacting cause areas and categories mapped from the NTE codes. And those charity detail pages are also accessible through this dashboard when you click into a specific charity. And finally, you have the volunteering events dashboard. This view allows you to get even more precise into analyzing where volunteer hours are making an impact with geographic data by event location. So the events by location snapshot map shows you what are hot spots for volunteering, and the top five events view gives you insight into the specific events that are seeing the most volunteers. And then at the bottom, you have the events table view. This table showcases the event name and information and corresponding sortable data points, giving you event date, the benefiting organization, cause area, total number of volunteers, and total volunteer hours. Alright. I also wanna point out in that video in the cause area feature. So just to draw further attention this is a newly added, view to our volunteering giving that you saw in the video, summarizing your volunteering giving by cause area and category which is really a mapping to the national taxonomy of exempt entities, the NTE codes. So this is a really, really powerful, graphic to get a sense of, where you're giving donation dollars and your volunteering hours are being committed. Let's go ahead and take a look at the grants dashboard. Alright, the grants dashboard provides 2 primary dashboard views of engagement and impact you're having in your corporate grant making programs. This data is populated from YourCause Grants Connect solution. The grants overview tab, dashboard data is centered on where your grants application applicants are located. This dashboard gives you broad information on applicants, programs and awards. The recipients, dashboard data is centered on where grant recipients are located. This is this dashboard gives you more specific information and detailed information focused on the organizations receiving your awards. We have one more video for you to watch here on the grants module. The grants overview dashboard is designed to give you a broad overview of your grant programs. Like giving and volunteering, you'll have filters for date and geographic region, but you'll also be able to filter by program name and by award type like cash or in kind. The grant snapshot map is accompanied by headline metrics, for total number of applications, number of programs you're running, total number of awards you've given out, awarded organizations, and the total award amount. The grants year over year view also shows you totals for in kind awards versus cash awards. In the grants by program table view at the bottom, lets you get more specific into data by program, letting you more closely inspect things like total applications, awards, and award amounts per program. Our second grant dashboard is even more focused on where your grant recipients are located. The snapshot map will give you the ability to quickly visualize where giving is focused regionally. The charity view to the right of the map gives you a quick look into the charities who are benefiting from your grant programs based on the filters and map views that you've applied. And finally, the awarded recipients table view at the bottom of the dashboard showcases several data points about award recipients by program with sortable data points for recipient type, total number of applications, total requested amount, total number of awards given out, and how many organizations have received those awards, and the total awarded amount across your program. Alright. Now I'm gonna turn it over to Jewel to that will look at ways to use these reports. Thanks, Kevin. And I just wanted to say it was a really great experience to be able to intertwine those videos with our slides and conversation today. So we hope that you enjoyed seeing some of those, you know, bits and pieces that we've been sharing on the slides come to life. I also wanted to just quickly remind everybody that the dashboards that Kevin just walked through and we have the videos on, those are free with your subscription to your cause solutions. As we continue through the presentation, you'll learn more about Copilot, which is the facet of Impact Edge that comes with some pricing. So dashboards are complimentary, and we're very excited for you all to dive in. Okay. So, wanted to bring you through, just kind of some real life. It does take having easy access to data to give your mind the time that it needs to craft stories for your audience and your stakeholders. Your time is valuable, and you do need those insights quickly to keep your stakeholders engaged, and we get that. It was the opportunity we had when developing this product, and so I'm very excited to dive through a few quick ways that you can translate these dashboards, into your daily work. I have had the opportunity to spend time with our customers in EAP and limited availability and talk with the customer success managers that are also aiding in adoption of this new product. It's been fun to hear the excitement and what sticks out first to everybody using the product. Pulled 3 stories, real life conversations that we had with customers exploring the product. It does not mean these are the only 3 exciting moments, but just a few that we felt would translate well in the conversation today. I'm going to start with this because who are we if we are not working to grow ourselves professionally, as well as helping our companies and our teams meet our goals. We actually really loved hearing the excitement around the homepage recent activity widget. It turns out that this is a valuable tool for you to get some fun facts about your data in a really low effort way so that you can pop into your weekly or your biweekly team meeting with interesting data trends, and then actually set some goals around using your focus time to come back to Impact Edge to dig into those trends, learn more about what they're telling you, and then share those back with your team. So it's a win in 2 ways. It establishes you as a stakeholder and, someone on your team who can raise up new and exciting information, but it also helps guide you, in where you might dive into your program data. Many customers using our YourCause solutions are consistently running campaigns. They might be traditional campaigns, but they almost might just be focused giving or focused volunteering efforts. We really enjoyed hearing the excitement around the year over year trend bar graph, or excuse me, line graph. So just imagine being able to come in the day or a couple days after you close out the hard work you've done in your volunteer campaign and look at some valuable year over year trend data before you dive into the transactional reports. Really giving you a foundation of what story you might be telling when you extract that transactional data because you already know if you've exceeded, stayed steady, or maybe even declined in what you did in your efforts for this year's campaign. So sometimes knowing those high level trends in advance are going to help give you direction and perspective for what you might be doing next in your data work. I will wrap up with the ever exciting leadership ask. I think as CSR practitioners, you likely get asked by so many different types of leaders around the business, how things are going for different types of programs. I am a big fan girl of the engagement tables, and so I have personally enjoyed exploring these with our customers when it comes to helping answer leadership asks. So with our engagement tables, you can build instant and custom hierarchy reports using any attribute or combination of attributes of the data that you're feeding into the system through what we call our HR file. And you can actually isolate those data points to create the hierarchy in any order that you want. So, once you get your order, it's going to instantly update. It is going to grab a snap. It's going to allow you to grab a snapshot of what that data looks like. You can export it into an Excel, or you can actually grab the table view and send that along. So this gives you that opportunity to share quick insights with business leaders so that they can then in turn empower their teams and even make decisions on how to drive engagement with you and motivate employees around their programs. So, overall, these are just a few simple ways that, you can translate all of this goodness we're sharing you today into some ways to impact your daily work. Andrea is going to take us through coming soon and what you can look forward to in Impact Edge over the next few months. Thank you, Jewel. So for a detailed view of what's sorry. Went ahead too fast. For a detailed view of what's included in our regular releases, I recommend checking out the what's new section in our help content available at the Impact Edge help center. Now let's transition to what's coming soon to Impact Edge. We're going to be talking about the key coming soon themes. We have an YourCause Blackbaud Copilot YourCause Early Adopter program, which we're kicking off in December. We're inviting a select group of customers to try out our newest features in Copilot to make sure they're working for our users and really soliciting a lot of direct, engagement and feedback with the tool as we start as we continue developing this cutting edge gen generative AI technology for your your purposes. And then across the strategic themes, we've already gone through a couple of times. We are going to look at grant budget and additional Blackbaud products under unify your data themes. We're looking, to create efficiencies for you. We're going to be including more data around trends and campaigns so that you can see that all of that all of your insights rolled up at different, campaign levels as well as those trend analysis so you can compare your company's engagement and employee, impact, making at compared across different trends and benchmarking. So this is a a development of benchmarking against similar companies of your size, similar industries, etcetera, that we can provide to you, to really give you a litmus test of how your your CSR engagements is going. In this year's year's ACCP Insights report, 58% of CSR practitioners said they needed more headcount to support the increased demands on their teams. Learning how to deploy artificial intelligence known as AI as an extension of your social impact team can free up valuable time and resources by automating routine tasks, consolidating and summarizing research, and helping transform data into meaningful stories. It is a skill that needs to be developed, but it comes with hesitancy because it appears new and unfamiliar even though it's an opportunity for you to be part of the deployment of AI into both your company as well as your team. By 2025, 70% of enterprises will identify the sustainable and ethical use of AI among their top concerns. My objective for today's presentations is this, to talk about how we will have a hard time thinking of an industry that hasn't been transformed by AI in the next several years. Talking about the hype around generative AI a little bit more. If you can see around the, the number of years from technology being commercially available to a 25 adoption rate 25 percent adoption rate, you see that electricity took 46 years all the way through a mobile phone, which took 13 years, and the web took 7 years. However, when we're talking Gen AI adoption, in comparison, after its launch in November 2022, OpenAI Chat GPT became the fastest application to surpass a 100,000,000 users, 2 months. In comparison, TikTok took 9 months. Instagram took 30 months. Spotify, Uber, 50 months plus. So think about the rapid adoption of generative AI in just the public use cases and how that could be applied to your team's use cases in understanding your, CSR data and insights better. And in late 2018 so we've been thinking about this. The experts have been thinking about this for a long time and predicting these trends that are coming coming now to us, be being becoming a reality to us. McKinsey wrote a discussion paper on applying AI for social good, and they they analyze a 160 social good use cases. And they they see through across those 160 social good use cases for AI, they touch they all touch on some aspect of the 17 SDGs or the UN UN Sustainable Development Goals and could potentially help 100 of millions of people worldwide. And now I'm gonna pass it off to Kevin to tell us more about Blackbaud Copilot. Alright. Thank you, Andrea. So we have an exciting, milestone, coming up. We've been working with industry experts like Microsoft to really expand our cutting edge capabilities on this Jira AI front and launch Blackbaud Copilot with Impact Edge. This is essentially your almost like personal judge, or personal gen AI assistant that can help you query your data or look at your other documents, and gain valuable insights. We're gonna going to be running an early adopter program for Blackbaud Copilot Scoop features for a small group of customers that have opted in. If you're being if you're interested in being an early adapter, plea please reach reach out to your customer success manager and ask to be involved. We have a short video to take a look at what this experience of Blackbaud Copilot is like. So let's go ahead and take a look at that. Let's take a quick look at some of the capabilities from Blackbaud Copilot. Like we mentioned, we are doing our early adopter program with the dataset from volunteering. So let's ask a couple of quick questions. First, I'm asking, how many hours did we volunteer with Girls Who Code Inc? Awesome. As you can see, Copilot's returned a response for me to take a look at. And I think I wanna dive in a little bit further. So let me ask how many volunteer hours the top 3 departments did. So now it's letting me know what the top 3 employee departments are for total volunteer hours across our program. Now I wanna ask it to go a little bit further and summarize the total volunteer hours by cause area. Awesome. Now I can see the total volunteer hours broken down by cause areas for the year. This is just a couple of quick examples of how Copilot can help you dive into your employee volunteering data. So that gives you a great little sneak preview of what it's like to have the Blackbaud Copilot. Let's take a look at a couple other, features that are coming up, on the road map here for the dashboard. One is, there's grants budgets and campaign information. Grants budgets allows you to track your rewards versus your budget and review the immediate amount in your program spend. Campaigns will give you insight into focus giving programs so you can rep report on their specific progress. Those will be 2 new valuable features coming out pretty soon. And then, we also I'm really excited to announce trends. This was gonna be an upcoming feature but we we were actually able to release it sooner than planned. So it's actually now live in the live in the tool. Trends allows you to place those headline metrics, those KPIs in the context of time. How does this compare to previous months years or perhaps regional changes? How do our locations differ with respect to engagement and other attributes on the HR file like employee departments and job levels. So additionally, you can see what cause areas and charities are trending up or down with your employees. This report is gonna be super super powerful to to dig, past the output metrics and and allow you to develop actual insights that will help you improve your program and move you further to attain your program goals. Alright. We're gonna turn it back to Andrea to discuss the roadmap. Thank you, Kevin. Now let's look ahead to what's next up for Impact Edge. So the inclusion of more Blackbaud products, is next up for Impact Edge, starting with Blackbaud grant making. We're super excited about that, as well as configurable dashboards. So you can decide which elements and which, visualizations you would like to have shown when you log in every time. So if something's not purely valuable to you in how you view your business, you would be able to swap that out for a different widget. And under creating efficiencies, we've we've we have the, c CECP template report. It helps all of our users save time completing that annual CECP survey with structured reports. And then self-service analytics. So instead of using kind of a build your own Tableau report, approach, How can we help you with kind of your own space within Impact Edge so you can build out other metrics that would be important for you to look at? And then finally, under Empower storytelling, we are helping with a goals and impact tracker to help you create goals and align with key metrics, being able to customize your home screen to focus on your most important KPIs. We're also going to, be enable you to communicate and share your reports even more easily by scheduling and having kind of automated, report sends to your audiences that you might like. And we are really excited about it, including even more third party partner impact data so you can get an even more holistic picture of your community impact and drive insights and all of your storytelling off of that. And then finally, Blackbaud Copilot. Across all of these themes, your personal gen AI assistant for understanding your program data, using natural language to query your YourCause data and to reference and summarize your public documents and reports, and additional content generation with Copilot. And what's to come from a global perspective? We are planning on rolling out localized dashboards in Canada, the UK, and additional countries, along with translation to non English languages. Now back to Jewel to bring us home. Alright. So before we wrap things up, we would love to, release a short survey. It's just a few questions, but what you will share with us in that is invaluable. It should pop up on your screen. So just go ahead and look to the right and share your thoughts as we continue to work through the remainder of our presentation. We really cannot wait to hear from you about the presentation today. So, obviously, we hope that today's session has not only peaked your interest into the goodness we've delivered in the complimentary dash boards, but also the AI powered copilot that, as you heard, can bring data insights and content together for you to make decisions, draft content, and and see around corners that you might not have otherwise been able to see.
